((Jan 3rd, open to anyone who just happens to be passing by. Might be a good thread to point out any landmarks that people would like to address.))
The green-faced man emerged from the jungle, grunting and growling like a swine. He wiped his brow as he finally found himself out of the woods, more or less. At least he wasn't fighting any branches at the moment. It gave the clown a moment to finally catch his breath ever since he had arrived in this dreamless world. He still looked like a mess, his sweat betraying the fact that he did wear make-up. He pulled a rag out and did his best to dry himself off without making his face one giant smudge.
After a moment, he took a moment to look around. "Well, what do ya know?" He smiled as he saw the shining lake and the rather tranquil scenery compared to the rest of the wild. "Perfect little place to have a picnic, ain't it? Too bad I haven't got a picnic to spread." He stuffed his rag back in his pocket, before walking up to the lake. He took his shoes off and sat down. With a pull of his socks, he allowed his feet to sit in the water. He let out an obnoxiously loud sigh of relief. "Not bad to get off the old soles and rest my weary soul." He chuckled.
Looking around again, he reached into his suit pocket. He felt the cigars in his pocket first. As tempting as it was to pull one out right one and take a good puff, he had realized that there wasn't a working store for cigars anywhere near here. He had decided to ration them out, just in case. Instead, he pulled out a long piece of blank paper and stretched it out. He pulled a pen out of his pocket and began drawing.
"Now, let's see, I think I'll make this the center of the map. Always the best place to start with mapmaking, the center," he informed himself, drawing a fair-sized circle in the middle of the paper. "And seeing how this isn't Dreamland, Nightmareland, or the Human World, I'm guessing I must be Nowhere," he conclude, writing the title at the top of the map. "Yeah. Yeah. That's good." He chuckled to himself. "Now, there were a bunch of trees where I came from." He looked up and around, before drawing anything. "Well, yeah, I guess there are a lot of trees everywhere." He paused and used his pen to scratch his head, biting his tongue as he thought. "Now, which direction did I even come from?"

As he made his way through the thick jungle, Kronk was becoming convinced he wasn't anywhere close to home. Not by a long shot. But he pressed on, shouldering through the thick growth. While he walked, he examined every plant he passed, looking specifically for any that bore fruit, or potentially edible leaves or blossoms. Every time he found one, he collected a sample, tucking a number of gourds and various fruits under his arm as he continued to travel in more or less a straight line.
After quite some time, he stumbled, literally, into a clearing, filled by a lake. In front of him, seated with his back somewhat towards Kronk, sat a small man with an odd hat who seemed to be preoccupied. Without hesitation, Kronk walked up behind the little man, glad to finally see someone else in this strange place.
"Hey there, uh, you wouldn't happen to know where we are, would you? Because I seriously have no idea where I am," he said, leaning down and looking over the man's shoulder. He gazed at the circle drawn on the piece of paper, trying to make sense of what he was seeing.

Morgana appeared soon after. She froze as she saw the two males before her, inwardly cringing at what their reaction might be of her. She tensed, ready to move. The two were foe until proven friend in Morgana's eyes. How could she have been so foolish as to stumble out into plain view? The rattler on the end of the Lamia's tail shook in a nervous, agitated manner as she looked from Flip to Kronk, and back again. She didn't attempt to engage in conversation with either of them; she was a woman of action more than conversation in most cases, and the two primary options were fight or flee.

"Ah, well, that's simple." Flip closed his eyes and leaned back slightly, answering the voice. He grinned as he tapped the title of his map. "Ya see here, we have a location that is unlike anywhere I have ever seen. Therefore, one can easily suppose that if we are not 'Anywhere', then we must be 'Nowhere'." He moved his finger down the map. "And you see here, the beginning of this picture is here, by this lake. Obviously something like this must be in the middle of our current place, ya see? Therefore, I can deduce that we are, in fact, in the Middle of Nowhere!"
He chuckled to himself a moment, before realizing that he had been alone. "WHO-O-OA!" he shouted as he jumped to his feet and whirled around, taking several steps back into the water. He held his map up high to keep it from getting wet. He looked around to see what monster had snuck up on him only to see that there was just a guy there. A really big guy, sure, but it wasn't a goblin or demon or nightmare or some schnook like that.
After a few deep breaths to calm himself down, the clown-like man smiled and began walking back to shore there. "Sorry 'bout that. Heh. Can't really trust a lot out here in the jungle, ya know. Lots of things just want to jump out and getcha!" He made the final distance a leap to the shore to emphasize his point. He held his chin and studied the man. "Speaking of which, where'd you come from? Sure a guy like you would make more noise than an elephant stomping around like that." He paused as he realized what Kronk was holding. "Better question. Where'd ya get all that food, fella?"

Kronk nodded in agreement as the little man spoke. It made perfect sense to him. Then the green-faced man jumped to his feet and backpedaled, apparently startled. Kronk held up his free hand, waving it around meaninglessly as he tried to figure out what had set the man off. Fortunately, the little guy didn't take long before regaining his composure.
"Yeah, you got a point there. Huh. So this is what the middle of nowhere looks like. It's not as bad as I thought it'd be," he said, looking around, spotting a snake-woman near the edge of the jungle. He looked back down at the little man when he jumped to shore. "Yeah, ya never know when something might be sneaking up on you. Oh, I came from...that direction. Yeah, I live in a jungle. Or near one. Just not this one. The jungle I came from wasn't anywhere close to Nowhere. And it sure didn't have snake women like her in it," he said, gesturing towards the woman in question as he spoke. Since she was just sitting there, and didn't seem to have any weapons, he didn't feel threatened by her.
"What, these? I found them back there, in the jungle. Now I just need to figure out which ones are best raw, and which ones need to be cooked. The good thing is there's plenty more where these came from," he said, looking down at the arm full of food he was holding.

The pale green hyena-cat came bumbling through the jungle, on the trail of the smell and sound of water. Animality essentially lacked any "stranger danger" rules and didn't particularly care if he could plainly hear others milling around in the waterhole. What he wanted was a drink and probably a swim. The hybrid animal happened to jump through the bushes across from the humans and canine-thing. He was so enveloped in the prospect of water that he didn't pay them any heed, instead walking to the water and dunking one of his paws in it.
"Water that isn't cold? Only a man could preform such magic. Ha! There must be a machine doing the warming somewhere."
He pointed with his bent up muzzle, looking for such a machine. Within a second, he saw the humans. His tail lifted up and his orange eyes gleamed. Animality had been born after all the human beings were killed or drawn away from the land by the war. Simply seeing a living ones was enough to make the creature enthralled. A toothy smile was present across his muzzle as he pulled his jowls up. Animality was one of the few animals in his world that actually understood what a smile was (therefore very creepy to them when he did smile).
"And there are the humans! Maybe I'm in the place where they're all hiding. Or maybe we animals are turning into the men; now humans live in the forest and we are living in their towns. Will humans sprout tails next? Will my paws become hands? That would make things so convenient, wouldn't it? Ahahahahahaaa!"
Finished with talking to himself, Animality jumped right into the water. His blotchy sage fur became drenched in the warm water as he was entirely under for a moment. Buoyancy took over and the furry creature rose to the top. Paws pumped through the liquid, propelling Animality's head and humped neck above the surface of the water. He was swimming right across the pool and toward the others. The hyena-cat's motives in coming closer were not clear.

Morgana tensed as Kronk spotted her, but relaxed a little as he didn't make any move to attack her. That was odd...confused, Morgana took a moment to observe the newcomers before hesitantly moving forward, eyes wary. "Who are you all?" she demanded of the small crowd quietly. Her muscles were still readied to move, should she need to attack or escape. Glancing at the Dalmatian puppy, she felt another hunger pang. The spotted creature was a tad bigger than a normal meal for her...but she was hungry. That said...her prey didn't usually talk. And so, with this in mind, Morgana decided to hold back until further notice.
