As a familiar voice reached her ears after her forceful attack missed, while Starscream's drew blood. Now that the hyena had launched herself at Starscream, the Sergeant turned to meet the sight of the enthusiastic Vanellope. She instantly felt a sense of panic; she didn't know that Vurugu wasn't interested in Vanellope, but what she did know was that she would be easy prey to a hyena. Sprinting to Vanellope's side, she stood defensively in front of her, glaring at Vurugu in case she decided to make a move towards Vanellope. "What are you doing here kid?" she asked urgently. Not that Vanellope would be any the wiser to the reason of their presence here than anyone else was.

She had gasped as the hyena had launched itself at the guy, but more or less regained her composure as Calhoun replied to her. The guy must know what he was doing, she was sure enough. Probably just part of whatever game this was she'd woken up in.
"What's it look like? Tryin' to figure out where the heck am I," the girl replied, folding arms across her chest as she leant forward, looking down at the soldier. Confident that from her current perch, she was safe enough even if the animal should turn attention to her. "Ralph showed me around a lot of the arcade, but I never saw a game that looked like this." She paused, frowning. Just where was Ralph, anyway? If she and Calhoun were here, it was a fair bet that the wrecker wouldn't be far away, but for a guy as big as him, he was proving strangely elusive. Then again, she hadn't seen anyone at all right now, so maybe she had just been in the wrong part of the world altogether.

Starscream pulled his pointed stick back toward his body, shifting one of his legs back behind him. Realizing drawing blood from the animal must have provoked her somehow, the former Decepticon tensed again, preparing himself for when she would strike back. Once the female hyena jumped at him, Starscream didn't have an immediate reaction in mind. Within a few seconds he'd be tackled, so he could only do what first came to his head. The red-coated man brought his body away and pulled his legs in, allowing himself to fall onto his back. Upon feeling his spine hit the twigs and litter on the ground, he thrust his legs out. Starscream was hoping to kick the hyena away as she was coming down, but he knew that required some fairly precise timing. With such little warning, he wasn't sure if he'd be able to land his kick. If he missed, he knew that he'd need to get up quickly. As his legs flew into the air, Starscream began to whip his upper body over. One of his hands gripped the surface of the ground, preparing to push his body away.

Vurugu hadn't realized what the man had planned until it was too late. Her fangs had come close to ripping into his face as his feet braced against her belly. She rode him to the ground, unable to avoid what was coming completely. As he landed, and kicked, she found herself falling head first, landing beside the man's head and tumbling over, landing awkwardly on the ground with her back to him. She staggered to her feet, momentarily disoriented, then turned to face him, her grin returning, wider than ever. Now that the blond woman had run off after hearing the child's call, she could focus on the man in the red jacket.
"I'm really beginning to like you," she said, waiting for him to get back up. He'd earned that much, at least. From her experience, humans didn't fight too well if they weren't on their feet.

"I don't think this is a game," Tamora replied sternly. "I don't know where we are, but it's sure as heck not the arcade." Still warily watching Vurugu and Starscream, she felt tense. "Look, kid, it's too dangerous here. You have to hide. In the trees, the bushes, I don't care, but I don't want you becoming a hyena snack!"
