Name: Unicorn/ Amalthea
Age: Ageless and immortal
Gender: female
Hero or Villain?: Hero
Canon or OC?: Canon
Personality: Calm, almost stoic. Possesses a subtle sense of vanity, and is especially insulted by being mistaken for a horse. She is the only Unicorn among her kind to have ever known love, and regret, and is now rather melancholy. She is also rather naive bout the workings of the mortal world.
Appearance: A snow-white Unicorn with a flowing, silvery mane, an ivory horn, cloven hooves, and purple eyes. Roughly the size of a horse. A light purple, star-shaped mark upon her forehead surrounds the base of her horn.

Brief History: For as long as she can remember, she was the guardian of her forest, protecting it, and its many creatures. However, after eons had passed, she began to notice a lack of other unicorns, eventually learning that she was the last unicorn. Setting out to find out what had happened to the others, she was briefly taken captive and displayed by a witch. However, she was rescued by the bumbling, but well meaning, Magician Schmendrick, who joined her on her journey. After a harrowing journey, Schmendrick and the Unicorn, along with Molly Grue, a woman they met along the way, arrived at the castle of King Haggard, where they learned the truth of the unicorns, and their whereabouts. In order to save her from the monstrous Red Bull, Schmendrick turned the unicorn into a human.
Trapped in a dying body, and increasingly confused, the unicorn, given the name Amalthea by Schmendrick, ended up falling in love with King Haggard's adopted son, Prince Lir. However, she could not remain in a human body forever, and after she was changed back to her true self, she used her feelings for Prince Lir to give her the courage to drive the Red Bull into the sea, where it perished, allowing the rest of the unicorns to escape back into the world.
Now knowing what it means to love, and to regret, the Unicorn, Amalthea, bid her former companions goodbye, and headed back to her home. Some time after, she found herself in a strange jungle...
Sample Post: Melancholy purple eyes regarded the Unicorn's surroundings. She blinked, and got to her hooves, looking around in wonder and confusion. She'd never been in this jungle before, and it lacked the feel of any other Unicorn's presence. Here, there was no magic at all. Except...except for a lingering sense of power that was rapidly fading. Before long, even that was gone. Now, all she could tell was something was blocking her ability to sense magic. And likely use any.
Undaunted, she headed off through the trees, knowing there had to be an answer somewhere. There always was.
