I have a question: what would the policy be on robotic characters? I can see where they can be a problem in being their own suits of armor, usually gifted with freakish strength and stamina... especially the ones of the 20-foot variety I may be considering >>

I am curious as to if there is an established Game Master here? Not to take advantage of said character, because I know it would be a staff-reserved character. I just wanted to know who had the ability to take everyone's powers.
Also, medical supplies were mentioned, but will food also be provided? Or at least non-sentient animals? Otherwise, I have trouble believing Bambi would be a willing teammate to someone like Balto, even if they are both heroes.

Regarding robotic characters, they did not fail to cross my mind...I think robots, if people really want them, would perhaps have to be given a human form...
And regarding a game master, there is one, of a sort; the ruler of the land - it seems logical to say she possesses magical abilities to remove advantages such as weaponry, armour and powers. Food will have to be hunted, there will be, as you say, non-sentient NPC animals to hunt for the carnivores of the group.

I am also curious about wings, partly due to my first character having wings.
You mentioned in the rules that though Rainbow Dash would retain her wings, she cannot fly. I understand not being able to magically walk on clouds, alter the weather, and hitching rides on the backs of butterflies. However, would it be that no characters can fly?

Yes, to make things fairer, all magical gifts are confiscated from them - I apologise if this is a little inconvenient, it's just that I don't want people going crazy with powers. Not that people would, just a precaution is all. :3

I just was curious because having wings technically makes it a physical power, not magical. Of course, it's not like Hercules would be allowed to hurl mountains. And then I guess there needs to be an explanation that they can't leave the island so easily.

Well, it's not an island - I'll be drawing up a map, but the jungle that the settlements are in is surrounded by a large desert, in which it is very easy to get lost.
